OUR STORY

DSC00872 2.jpeg

Bou Soie is a London-based slow fashion line. From the people who make our clothing to the people who wear it, our goal is to make people feel good!

As an independent brand, we are deeply connected to our community, with our Little Shop in The Middle of the Street on Broadway Market and our boutique/studio in Dalston Factory serving as our creative hub. With a partner studio in London and

talented seamstresses working from home, we specialise in designing and creating luxury linen clothing that are made to last.

Our mission is to provide our consumers with transparency. By proving a transparent supply chain and source log of the materials and human resources that have gone into the making of our products.

If you want something sustainable, local and unique come and find us! We can offer made-to-order pieces in your choice of fabric made to your measurements and a beautiful range of ready-to-wear pieces you can take home.

THE MAKING

All our products are made in London. We produce our stock in small quantities, typically ranging from five to ten pieces per production run. This approach helps us minimise shipping emissions and reduce waste from overproduction. By manufacturing locally, we can guarantee that the working conditions meet standards. We produce a percentage of our orders on a made-to-order basis.

Our admiration for the British clothing industry runs deep, stemming from its exceptional craftsmanship and rich heritage. This appreciation inspires us to manufacture our products right here in Britain, ensuring that each piece embodies the quality and tradition that defines British fashion.

We work with a diverse range of seamstresses with varied experience levels. We're passionate about nurturing young talent and fostering a collaborative atmosphere within our team.

The seamstresses we work with to produce our ready-to-wear have many years of experience in the production industry and handcraft all garments to ensure beautiful, high-quality standards.
